Papamama Pokino was born in Rarotonga but raised in Fiji. Facing challenging circumstances that put his studies on hold and with their first child on the way, Papamama tried carving pareu boards as a way of supplementing his family’s income. Since then, he has not looked back. Each board is a unique Pasifika design, with the double-sided boards being his most popular.
