Mānawa maiea te putanga o Matariki (celebrate the rising of Matariki), Mānawa maiea te ariki o te rangi (celebrate the rising of the lord of the sky), Mānawa maiea te Mātahi o te tau (celebrate the rising of the New Year) – Tihei Mauri Ora!
Matariki coincides with the Generator whānau receiving a Taonga (gift), Te Hoe o Whakatere, from Generite Mark Lang thanking us for our help on his journey from incarceration to self-employment.
Matariki is a time for our Generator whānau to remember all those who have helped us on his journey; for Mark it was Tracey Wildhaber, Beth Rika, The Generator Northland Tuakana, Whariki Whangarei who connect Generites with opportunities, The Generator national team, and MSD for continuing to fund and support The Generator. It is a time for all of us to be thankful for new beginnings.
