Kia ora, I’m Paul and I am the Community Generator for Whanganui.
It’s a massive privilege to have a role where I am able to get to know and encourage local people with great ideas; and then be able to support those great ideas into becoming a reality!
I love being on the journey of seeing dreams come alive within the diverse, passionate, and generous local community that exists here in Whanganui. Alongside this, it’s been epic getting to know more of the existing local heroes within our neighbourhoods, who often know the people who are ready, keen and able to make full use of The Generator.
I am passionate about empowering others to realize their ongoing potential – and The Generator model, being so generous and strengths based – has been great in helping this happen.
The past decade of my life has been spent involved in community development, various mentoring and pastoral roles, foster care, and social enterprise projects. While I hail from Scotland, the majority of my adult life has been in Aotearoa - I am loving life in Whanganui!
Outside of The Generator, my wife and I have two epic young kids that fill us with joy! With our spare time, life is full as Anglican Priests – but we always make time for good coffee, some Netflix, as well as quality time spent with friends and neighbours over good kai!
